Treatment Plan

Everything included
in your OrthoK journey.

To achieve the best results, our clinic uses fully customised, tailor-made OrthoK lenses — no two eyes are the same, so no two lenses are identical either. Here's exactly what's included, and what it costs.

Ongoing Care & Reviews

After your first year of treatment, regular reviews are required — generally every 6 months, unless more frequent visits are needed. Medicare doesn't cover all required tests, so a technology fee applies per visit, covering biometry (to track eye length and myopia progression) and corneal topography (to monitor eye shape). For patients who have not attended regular reviews, additional consultation fees are payable to cover extra tests that may be required due to gaps in their treatment history.

Ongoing Review
Patients with Medicare
Technology gap fee per visit
$50
Ongoing Review
Patients without Medicare
Consultation fee + technology fee per visit
$90–$130
Additional Scans
Where necessary for complete eye health evaluation and monitoring — OCT 3D Scans and/or Optos Ultra-Widefield retinal scans, especially for patients with high myopia and/or long axial length (>26mm)
$80

Health Fund Rebate

You may be able to claim a rebate for part of your Treatment Plan fees and replacement lenses through your health fund's optical benefits — the amount depends on your level of cover. Health insurance doesn't cover ongoing consultation fees, cleaning solutions or other consumables.

Lens Warranty

A lens breakage warranty covers one lens per eye within the first 6 months (180 days) of your original lens order, for early mishaps (photographic evidence required). For future replacements without a fitting package, the warranty period is 3 months (90 days).

Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of $600 is required to design and order your custom-made lenses. The balance is usually settled in full at your lens delivery appointment.

Treatment Policy

Results can vary between individuals. If treatment is unsuccessful within the first 6 months and you wish to discontinue, 50% of the treatment plan fee can be refunded as credit for other optical items in-clinic.

Clinic booking policy: Saturday appointments require a $25 reservation fee (usable as in-store credit). Late cancellations within 48 hours, and no-shows, incur a $50 fee before a new booking can be made.
